Our most frequently asked questions
Clients
- Does Midas actively recruit doctors internationally?
Yes. Our Online marketing presence is worldwide, attracting doctors from across the globe to facilitate our client’s needs; we are even able to tailor international marketing campaigns on behalf of our clients resulting in an outsourced managed service encompassing all facets of the hiring process. For further information on this service please contact one of our consultants about our Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO).
- Why are we not PASA approved?
Simply because the current PASA framework has been disbanded to make way for the new and improved framework which goes live mid next year. We have initiated talks with Buying Solutions, the governing body that will manage the new tender to supply doctors to the NHS and are currently poised to tender the minute the framework is released. In the interim we have ensured our processes are of the highest quality and have already gained approval from the recruitment and employment confederation (REC Medical) and the association of professional staffing companies (ApsCo).
- How do we minimise Doctor drop-outs?
We understand that the biggest concern for our clients is the high level of doctors that pull out of a locum or permanent posts after the time consuming selection process has been completed. We know this is a waste of time and, in some cases, can jeopardise patient care. We go to great lengths to minimise this by ensuring commitment from our doctors, a commitment gained by the competitive pay rates and high level of service we offer to all of our doctors, resulting in a higher percentage of positions accepted. Finally all our recruiters are trained to take the doctor through a thorough ‘pre booking confirmation’ which gives us a better insight into understanding our doctors needs and binds us to a commitment with our doctors which protects our clients from ‘drop-outs’.
- Can we arrange work permits for our doctors?
Yes we can, we have a Service Level Agreement with an affiliate that allows us to process Tier 1, Tier 2 visas for our doctors along with all other permits as well such accession permits for eastern European doctors.
- What compliance checks do we do on our doctors?
We to go great lengths to ensure the compliance of our Doctors is to the highest standards. We fully adhere to the NHS Code of Practice and provide our clients with the following documentation before a Locum Doctor commences employment:
- GMC Certificate and License to Practice
- Full Occupational Health Reports
- Valid CRB Disclosure
